Another fun day at the range with nine Level 1 & five Level 2 shooters showing up. Ran four stages with one being a rifle/only medium range accuracy deal while the remaining three stages required both guns at multiple paper and steel targets. Good mix of high speed and accuracy events and lots of rounds expended making for a lively match.
TODAY’S WINNERS:
Level 1.. Joe Therrell(7), James Therrell(9), Seth Spears(12), Bob Beaver(17)
Level 2..Billy Haynes(6), Jeff Lewis(8), Dick Williams(10), Jerry Lock(18)
Our Level 1 group is looking very good right now with lots of competition at a high level which, in fact, rivals what we expect to see in the Level 2 group. Good to have you new shooters here; keep coming and let us know what you’d like to see at the matches. Your input is always welcome.
Special thanks to Jerry & John for their help as always and especially this month to Paul Connor who spent his day scrambling around everywhere cleaning up, setting up and doing a little of whatever was needed to make things run smoothly….without ever firing a shot. Remember folks, it’s needed and expected that shooters help with the grunt work required to keep our matches moving. We’ll be without Jerry next month so please plan to do your part to take up the slack.
Saturday, Oct. 12 will be a Pistol/Only match day. Kiwacka plans to get even with me for my left-hand rifle stage this past Saturday so I would advise working in a little weak hand, shooting while moving, etc. practice before match day. Try to think, “What would John do?”…. Scary, ain’t it?
Stay Safe,
Dick
