Another great day at the range with beautiful weather, most of the leaves cleared off by Bob Beaver & Mickey Harwell, five Level 1 shooters, four Level twos and a renewed sense of joy at being able to compete with friends in our favorite sport.
Thanks to Jerry Lock coming back today we were able to have four events with Jerry heading up a man/man rifle shoot. We had three other events with a rifle/only requiring shooting from three positions, a pistol/only with plates and cans and also a combo event using “The Mover”. Shooting skills seemed to be running ahead of average today and very few, if any, weapon malfunctions. Way to go!
Please notice that we had a 3-way tie for first place in the Level 1 group and had to fall back on the only timed event of the day to place our shooters. Congratulations to Jerry and Billy in each of their categories for their fine performances today.
Special thanks to all of you for helping to run and clean up after the events. I think we set a new RGC record for destroyed dog food cans today…messy, but it sure is fun watching that water spray in the sunlight!TODAY’S WINNERS
