A little cool, a little damp but a big bunch of twenty Action shooters showed up for a good day at the range. Thanks to everyone for helping Jerry, John and me put on the show. Enjoyed having several new shooters compete as well as an old friend or two coming back to the competition once again. Hope all of you enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed your company and that you’ll come back for more “Second Saturdays” of the month at RGC.
Tight competition in the Level 1 group with a three-way tie decided by total elapsed time.
TODAY’S WINNERS:
Level 1
Paul Conner(11)
Ronnie Lambert(14-123.81)
Joe Therrell(14-124.65)
Bob Beaver(14-159.37)
Level 2
John KIwacka(9)
Jeff Lewis(10)
Dick Williams(13)
Billy Haynes(14)
Next match day, April 13th, will be a shotgun/pistol combo with clays, paper and steel.
You’ll need 100 rounds pistol ammo and 50 shot shells ( #7 1/2 or #8 shot only) eye & ear protection, holster & pouches for your mags and shoot shells. Standard velocity shot shells are fine…no high velocity stuff needed.
We have John Kiwacka’s “little” pistol/only stage that we missed out on yesterday to look forward to and meanwhile Jerry and I will be coming up with a couple of challenging combo stages to round out your adventure. Your ideas are always welcome so let us know if there’s something you’d like to see incorporated into the match and we’ll work on it.
Practice loading your guns while moving as well as transitioning from one gun to the other smoothly and safely.. Be safe guys and gals..keep those muzzles pointed downrange and your finger out of the trigger guard till your sights are on the target.
See you next month.
