Boy, the last match of the year sure gets here in a hurry these days. Thanks to all of you, especially Jerry and John for making it a fun and exciting day to wrap up the 2018 season.
Had twelve shooters overall, including two new shooters to our group, Brian Kurzel and Aiden Stiles. Hope you both enjoyed shooting as much as we enjoyed having you here and that you’ll plan to come back when you can.
Had four stages of clanging steel and busting clays, making use of both shotgun and pistol at short to medium ranges. John started us off with a pretty impressive bank of steel plates with emphasis on pistol-only shooting from behind barricades. Jerry got both guns into play with his move and shoot set-up. I had one stage with flying clays and some 35 yard pistol shooting on steel silhouettes. Finally finished up our day with a flat-out speed event with shotgun and pistol where winners were decided by fractions of a second. A good way to end the year!
