RGC 3-Gun Report for Jan. 13, 2018
Nice “brisk” day but no rain-hallelujah! Ten hardy souls showed up to shoot so John Kiwacka had a good fast-action pistol stage in the pit while Billy Haynes ran a “jumping clays” event up on the main range. Thanks to both these guys for their great efforts to keep us entertained on such a harsh-weather day.
Next we had a 3-gun event with clays, a paper silhouette and steel silhouettes to test medium range marksmanship skills. Biggest challenge we faced was repairing wrecked steel silhouette bolts after they were clobbered by 12 gauge slugs; but even that made for some entertaining runs.
Managed to squeeze in an abbreviated rifle/pistol stage before calling it a day. Lots of good shooting by everyone but have to say that Billy really dominated his division….rest of us need to get out more…
Today’s winners in order of finish are—
LEVEL 1:
Gerald Lambert(9);
Tie Breaker-Dennis Jennings(12) & Jerry Lock(12);
Bob Beaver(13);
Scott Stiles(14)
LEVEL 2:
Billy Haynes(4);
Jeff Lewis(11);
Dick Williams(12);
Brian Davis(15);
John Kiwacka(18)
Thanks to Jerry Lock and all the rest of you who helped set-up, score and run the show. You are the greatest.
Next Month will be a pistol/only day with as much steel as we can scrape up. Let me know if there is something you’d like to see & we’ll try to work it in.
